Welcome to the Quail Valley Golf Course!
In their quest for the perfect piece of land, the design team performed aerial searches of the Vero Beach area in Nick Price's helicopter. The pursuit paid off when Fazio and Price discovered a 280-acre orange grove that was precisely what they had in mind for the golf course at Quail Valley. The expansive piece of property was used to create larger lakes that, in turn, will generate more dirt to be used to shape the ridges, slopes, valleys and features. This is where the Quail Valley concept begins.
Eighteen magnificent holes were sculpted with elevations ranging from 30 to 40 feet. The classically designed clubhouse is perched at an elevation of 50 feet to provide spectacular views of the picturesque course. Almost three million cubic yards of dirt-four and 1/2 times the average-was excavated from the lakes to achieve the dramatic changes in elevations which is one of the most distinguishing characteristics of Quail Valley.

The Eighteenth Hole
Abundant wildlife and wide-open spaces are another unique feature at Quail Valley. Hammocks of live oaks, pines and magnificent magnolias are scattered across the vast landscape. The lakes are stocked with Large Mouth Bass; and wooded areas are homes to a wide variety of birds, including the quail for which the Club is named.
The course is balanced with a variety of shots: dogleg right, dogleg left, straight holes, holes that are uphill, downhill, level; greens that are right to left, left to right, straight in, sideways, bigger in size with more contour, and smaller with less contour.
The “Island Hole”
The Tenth Hole
Of the many unique holes on the course, the scenic tenth, “Island Hole,” promises to become Quail Valley’s signature hole. It is a par 5, 570-yard, dogleg to the right that is completely surrounded by water. An elevated tee box affords a spectacular view of a wide fairway below that bends gently to the right. The carry off the tee shot to the fairway below appears almost effortless with the aid of the dramatic drop in elevation. A good tee shot sets up a possible attempt to reach the green in two. The wiser choice may be to play the second shot to a point short of the green where the fairway widens. A bump-and-run third shot may still provide an opportunity for a birdie putt. The “championship pin placement” would be near the water on the back right. Being surrounded by water while setting up for the next shot on this “Island Hole” promises to be a unique sensation.
Exceptional Features & Facilities
Quail Valley offers countless features and facilities for golfers, such as two sheltered comfort stations, walk-up tee times and a secluded storage area for 40-60 carts.
The driving range has semi-circular tees at both ends to ensure a suitable practice facility in any wind condition. Six Par Holes are located on each side of the driving range for extra fun. Additionally, a new, state of the art Learning Center was added in the Fall of 07 for our members and guest enjoyment.
Professional Caddie Program
The caddie program at Quail Valley will help revive a forgotten tradition while also adding another element of sport to the game. The program is an option for guests who would like the opportunity to walk the picturesque, six-mile course while having at their disposal a caddie master with an extensive staff of skilled caddies specially trained for the nuances of the course. The golf course at Quail Valley will challenge players at all skill levels. With a wide variety of shots for players at varying skills and handicaps, and amenities that are unsurpassed, Quail Valley will be a course members will want to play every day.
